KAI NIELSEN (Denmark, 1882-1924) - Merman with Ocean Child Riding Dolphin, Art Deco blanc de chine porcelain, for Bing and Grondahl of Copenhagen, one of the leading porcelain manufacturers in Scandinavia. Roughly 17" x 15" x 10", fine condition. Nielsen is best known for sculpting "The Water Mother" for the winter garden of the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen in 1921.
