Philip Webb for James Powell and Sons, Whitefriars, an Arts and Crafts green wine glass, circa 1860, the cylindrical ogee bowl on short plain stem and conical foot, 10.5cm high Note: likely designed as part of a suite for William Morris' house Red House and later retailed through Morris Marshall and Faulkner, the bowl shape and proportions are similar to those illustrated in designs in the Victoria and Albert Museum, while the colour and texture of the glass is typical of that produced by Powell in the 1860s
