A BOHEMIAN SECESSIONIST CUT CRYSTAL COMPOTE WITH SCHWARZLOT POLYCHROME ENAMEL, GILT, AND YELLOW FLASHED GLASS DECORATION, THE DESIGN ATTRIBUTED TO ADOLF BECKERT (BOHEMIAN, 1884-1929), FACHSCHULE STEINSCHONAU, KAMENICKY SENOV, BOHEMIA, CIRCA 1915, the clear crystal trumpet form compote raised on octagonal knopped stem with spiral diamond cut decoration to the body, the everted rim with five rectangular panels of "Schwarzlot" (black enamel) decoration on etched ground drawn from tales of the Brother's Grimm separated by clear panels with black, maroon, and green enamel stacked ovals within ogival oval, gilt rim, the knop of the stem with flashed yellow banding highlighted by black enamel bands on etched ground, the spreading foot with black enamel scalloped decoration and gilt border with yellow flashed side.
