DANTE MARIONI (1964, USA) GLASS "WHOPPER" VASE - Baluster form (20.5"H) in deep cobalt with extended orange neck and flared mouth rim with yellow lip wrap, yellow neck trim. Base fitted with metal plate which can be fixed via a rod to custom made black pedestal (36"H), thus creating a stable display platform. Metal plate obscures the Marioni signature; however consignor confirms the vase is by Marioni. Independent appraisal in May 2013 validates Marioni as the artist. Condition excellent. Late 20th century.
