작품 상세

Produced in France, the vase is Daum Nancy glass (1890-1920) and the metal cage work surrounding the vase is by Louis Majorelle (1859-1926) from the same area in France.Daum Nancy glass was called cameo glass because it was built up with different colored layers and cut back with acid to reveal beautiful floral or scenic designs. The vase was turned into a working lamp by someone in the San Francisco area 40 years ago, but there was no drilling into the glass, which preserved the integrity of the vase. Originally this vase had been used as an umbrella stand. ID32100.
