Tree of Science.- Arbor Scientiae. Title woodcut from the work of the same name by Ramon Llull. 1515. 13.5 x 11 cm. Mounted on cardboard.- The tree and its components represent human nature and relate it to science. Slightly foxed and with mounting marks in the four outer corners. Enclosed are 2 engraved portraits of Paracelsus. Circa 1540. Format 15 x 9 cm each.- Original description in German: Baum der Wissenschaft.- Arbor Scientiae. Titelholzschnitt des gleichnamigen Werkes von Ramon Llull. 1515. 13,5 x 11 cm. Auf Karton montiert.- Der Baum und seine Bestandteile repräsentieren die menschliche Natur und setzen sie in Beziehung mit der Wissenschaft.- Etwas stockfleckig und mit Montierungsspuren in den vier Außenecken.- Beiliegend 2 gestochene Porträts von Paracelsus. Um 1540. Format je 15 x 9 cm.
