Ca. AD 600 - 800 A collection of three terracotta incantation bowls, each of shallow conical form with a rounded base and plain rim, the interiors bearing concentric bands of Aramaic script spiralling towards the centre, two bowls with additional lines of inscription continuing onto the exterior walls. Size: 60-65mm x 180-190mm; Weight: 1.15kg. Provenance: From the collection of a London gentleman; formerly acquired in early 2000s in Japan; previously in 1970s Japanese collection.
