Ca. AD 1600 - 1700 A tinned-copper bowl with a deep profile rising from a low, spreading foot. The exterior is decorated with an upper frieze of cursive inscription on a scrolling ground, bordered below by a narrow band of foliate scrolls. A further register of pointed lobes encircles the lower body. The interior is plain. Size: 225mm x 90mm; Weight: 960g. Provenance: Private collection of a West London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/International art market in the 1980s.
