Ca. AD 1100 - 1300 A bronze tray of deep circular form with a broad, multi-lobed, star-shaped wall. The interior floor is centred by an eight-petalled rosette encircled by a concentric arrangement of stylised vegetal and floral motifs, pseudo-inscription bands and an interlocking geometric frieze, with an outer zone of radiating rays. The inner wall is divided into rectangular panels enclosing angular Kufic script. Size: 130mm x 430mm; Weight: 1.7kg. Provenance: Private London collection; previously French art market 1970s/1980.
