Jolly N cast iron mechanical bank, a type of collectible item commonly associated with Black Americana. Size: 6.5h x 5.5w x 5.5d in. Condition: Good antique condition. There is a repaired crack in the right arm. Please be sure and view all photos for condition. The bank was originally manufactured by the J&E Stevens Company in Cromwell, Connecticut, with a patent date of March 14, 1882. It operates mechanically: a coin is placed in the hand, and a lever on the back causes the hand to lift, the eyes to roll up, and the tongue to flip back, depositing the coin into the bank. These banks are highly sought after by collectors. Congratulations on this great find!
