In mythological times a group of women visited this site and gathered the edible berries known as kampurarrpa or desert raisin from the small shrub Solanum Centrale. These berries were ground into a paste and cooked in the coals to form a type of damper. They later travelled to Kiwirrkura and then to the rockhole site of Wirrulnga, just to the east of Kiwirrkura."- Papunya Tula Artists
