A Rare Chinese Carved Celadon Glazed baluster Jar and Cover with Lion Finial The well-potted, globular body carved with a wide band of composite flowers above a band of upright leaves, covered with a glaze of olive-green color, rising from a recessed base to a broad shoulder with moulded rib and short tapering neck, the mouth rim left unglazed and burnt brownish-orange in the firing, the cover encircled by a similar foliate scroll pattern and surmounted by a lion knop, the rim on the underside left unglazed W:28CM H:30CM
