An exceptional and unusual antique vieux bruxelles hand painted porcelain planter with plate in a leather presentation box having a gilded crown and nice latches. The planter and saucer / plate are hand painted in stunning blue and gold colors. The planter is finely hand painted depicting a city square and bears the inscription âCathedrale et beffroi a Tournayâ. The scene also has a stunning water fountain and shows a man hauling water from it along with other figures in the foreground. The scene is signed, J.J. Valentinelli. Both the planter and plate are signed on the bottom Ets. (Etablissement) Demeuldre S.P.R.L., Manufacture de Bruxelles, Peint a la main. Dimensions: 5 1/2 inches tall Planter and Plate together. Planter alone measures 5 1/4 inches high with a diameter of 6 1/8 inches at the top. Plate alone measures 1 inch high with a diameter of 6 3/4.
