THREE STONELAIN PLATES BY UMBERTO ROMANO (AMERICAN, 1905-1984) AND AARON BOHROD (AMERICAN, 1907-1992). Twentieth century, ceramic. Three angel-themed handpainted glazed plates. Two in blue with white by Umberto Romano, both signed. One by Aaron Bohrod, unsigned, depicting weathervanes. Circa 1950, bearing Stonelain mark. Largest 10.75" dia. Note: From the Studios of Associated American Artists, NYC, the Stonelain Collection was a WPA-era line of artist made original designs in "high fired ceramics combining stoneware''s durability and porcelain''s texture."
