Rudolf Marcuse (1878-1940) Rudolf Marcuse was born in Berlin and studied at the academy there. He created small sculptures in bronze and porcelain figurines for KPM and Rosenthal. Even larger monuments originated, such as for Moses Mendelssohn in Berlin or for Carl Hagenbeck, who created the zoo in Hamburg-Stellingen. Rosenthal The porcelain manufacturer was established in 1879 as a family business by Philipp Rosenthal. Rosenthal is known for pioneering efforts in product design and worldwide success in design shops.
