Ricks?], presented by the author - May 5th 1891, Morinda, Montana.” One of the most important nineteenth-century Nevada books, telling of the relationship of Indians to the white man from the earliest times to the date of publication, from the Indian point of view, and appealing for help for the Paiute people from white domination. Paher notes ”extensive information about pre-white northern Paiute culture, the types of foods, marriage and other social practices, as well as political leadership.
