No visible S/N, circa 1830"s, honest Indian rifle, percussion conversion from flint, in seldom seen .54 caliber, 32" barrel, both barrel & lock plate marked "J. Henry". Was probably full stock at one time; dozens of correct iron head tacks. Later percussion Henry rifles were given to Indians as part of treaties but never in large caliber. A great fur trade rifle. CONDITION: Dark bore, iron is dark with deep oxidation, brass furniture aged mustard color, original sights, tumbler notches could stand freshening, knife carved crosshatch along left side of forearm.
