Pierre Mignard (attributed to) (France, 1612-1695) "Christ and the Women of Samaria", graphite, c. 1660, on 17th C. paper with Stasbourg lily (?), 17 3/8" h. x 12 1/2" w. [Attribution to Mignard based on three paintings by him of this subject, this one most closely related to the version in Riom, drawing follows closely the same landscape and structural geometric motifs as many artists of the period including Francisque Millet, Gaspard Dughet, and Simon Vouet, all the while extending the same quiet dignity of these French Baroque Masters.]
