Breinlinger, Hans (1888 Konstanz - 1963 Konstanz) "Abstrakte Darstellung von einer Berglandschaft mit Bäumen", mixed media on panel, signed and dated "1962" lower right, approx. 51x37cm, 66x51.5cm with frame *Hans Breinlinger studied under Wilhelm Trübner at the Karlsruhe Art Academy from 1910 to 1914. His initially spontaneous brushstroke and free Impressionist approach changed through the influence of Expressionist and Cubist works to an expressive pictorial conception. In 1926, he moved to Berlin, where he also came into contact with certain international artists through his brother-in-law Lovis Corinth.
