작품 상세

Mixed technique oil on canvas. Measurements: 150 x 100 cm, contemporary Cantabrian school of the 20th century. Eduardo Sanz (Santander, 1928-Madrid, 2013) is a Spanish painter and printmaker. He carried out his first painting studies with José Cataluña, entering the San Fernando School of Fine Arts, in Madrid, in 1953. His work went through several phases: an initial informalist abstraction that he abandoned early, for expressionist and post-cubist figuration, a second phase, with the superposition of planes and three-dimensionality, a third, already in 1975, made with maritime signs and signals, and a last phase in which he dedicated himself to painting and cataloging all the lighthouses on the Spanish coast. There are his works in multiple museums such as the Albertina Museum of Austria, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Asunción, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Managua and in the most important public and private collections in Spain and Europe. Provenance: Spanish private collection.
