Mixed technique on canvas (acrylic, latex, spray paint and permanent inks). Santiago Picatoste has public sculptures in various cities in Spain. It has participated in ARCO since 2002 and in international fairs. The PORTRAITS WITH HOPE collection is an evolution of the Pictures with Hope project. He has received international awards and his work is present in the Helga de Alvear permanent collection and the IBM Spain Private Collection. In this second phase, four plastic artists, Santiago Picatoste, Lara Padilla, Silvia Kowalsky and Luis Feo, capture the stories, emotions and hope of Mario, husband of Ángela, Pilar, Sonia and Gema, all of them patients diagnosed with Breast Cancer metastatic. The testimonies of Pilar, Sonia, Gema and Mario were monitored with a digital phonendo connected by a heartbeat transmitter to each of the artists. At the same time that they talked about their day-to-day life with the disease, the artists felt the heartbeat on their own skin. The emotions captured through the heartbeat transmitter served as inspiration for the 4 artists to capture the interpretation of their stories on canvas.
