Wesley (1923-2007) studied at the Art Students League, New York in 1946 under Harry Sternberg and Nahum Tschacbasov, and took further courses at the Pratt Institute, New York, to pursue a career in advertising. After a short stint in the advertising industry, Wesley embarked on a career as a fine artist. She showed at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia; The Brooklyn Museum; Artists Equity, New York; Terrain Gallery, New York and the Waverly Gallery, New York. Her abstract style of repeated patterns frequently reveals the influence of the work of Anni Albers in particular.
