Fredericksen studied art at the American Academy of Art and the Art Institute (Chicago) and the Institute of Design. At the Art Institute, Fredericksen was under the tutelage of esteemed Bauhaus masters L?szl? Moholy-Nagy and Alexander Archipenko.
