The present work, executed in mixed media, is a work by Alec Monopoly and features his famous ‘Monopoly Man’ depicted on music paper. The Monopoly Man – in Alec’s works an ironic symbol of the US-American banking system - is represented here in form of a DJ. By using music paper, Alex has enhanced the image carrier with a content-related component, which is an interesting artistic device of the US-American artist. Alec Monopoly Alec Monopoly is the pseudonym of a non-identified graffiti artist from New York City. He is well known for his figurative pop culture subjects, which he depicts by using different media, such as stencils, spray paint, varnish and newspapers. In 2010, Alec Monopoly held his first solo exhibition in New York City.
