INK BLOTTER, probably late 19th century, Russia / St. Petersburg, 84 zolotniki (875 silver), totalling 527 grams. Marked with unmarked master's mark, St. Petersburg city hallmark and combined city and standard mark. Wooden core rocker with felt cover, the sides covered with silver mountings with geometric decoration. Above a figurative handle in the form of a kneeling boy writing a letter (leaf broken, part missing). H. 10 x l. 18 x w. 7.2 cm. (traces of use). LÖSCHWIEGE / LÖSCHWIPPE, wohl Ende 19. Jh., Russland / St. Petersburg, 84 Zolotniki (875er Silber), insgesamt 527 Gramm. Gemarkt mit ungedeuteter Meistermarke, St. Petersburger Stadtpunze und kombinierter Stadt- und Standartmarke. Wippe aus Holzkern mit Filzüberzug, seitlich bedeckt mit Silbermonturen mit geometrischem Dekor. Darüber figürlicher Griff in Form eines knienden Knaben, einen Brief schreibend (Blatt gebrochen, Teil fehlt). H. 10 x L. 18 x B. 7,2 cm. (Gebrauchsspuren).
