Vintage Gibson L-5 electric archtop guitar, circa 1952, featuring a carved spruce top with f-holes, maple back and sides, an ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays, and gold-plated hardware throughout. This classic example of Gibson craftsmanship retains the original interior oval Guaranteed label marked Gibson Inc., Kalamazoo, Mich., U.S.A. and bears the serial number A 591. The guitar is accompanied by a period soft case. The instrument measures approximately 42" x 17" x 3.5", and the case measures approximately 45" x 18" x 4". Condition: Fair overall vintage condition, with moderate to mild surface wear, finish checking, scratches, scuffs, and small losses throughout, consistent with age and use. Hardware exhibits heavy patina and oxidation. Some components, including the pickguard, may be later additions. The tailpiece shows heavy wear and discoloration.
