Submission of the defeated William II, with his sword broken, dominated by the flags of the Triple Alliance. Jules Abel Faivre, 1867-1945, French painter, illustrator and cartoonist, member of the Société des Artistes Français, became famous by creating propaganda posters for the French army in the First World War. Jules Abel Faivre, 1867-1945, pittore, illustratore e fumettista francese, membro della Société des Artistes Français, divenne celebre creando manifesti di propaganda per l'esercito francese nella prima guerra mondiale. Disegnò fumetti per Le Rire, L'Écho de Paris e Le Figaro.
