BORMANN MARTIN: (1900-1945) Nazi Official, head of the Party Chancellery and Private Secretary to Adolf Hitler. T.L.S., Bormann, one page, 4to, Munich, 28th March 1938, to SS-Gruppenführer Schmidt, on the printed stationery of Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, in German. Bormann, in his capacity as Chief of Rudolf Hess’s office, writes to Schmidt concerning Obersturmfuhrer Darges and forwards a copy of orders (no longer present) provided by the SS Reichsfuhrer [Heinrich Himmler]. With a few red indelible pencil notations and two file holes to the left edge, not affecting the text or signature. VG.
