World War One Bavarian light cavalry sword. Both sides of the blade have an etched floral motif with a winding banner that bears the Bavarian motto, "In Treue Fest". The ricasso is stamped with the King's head and Knight's head above "WKC" Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. trademark that was in use from 1883 - 1918. After 1918 the king's head was removed from the trademark. The sword measures 35.25" with a 30.25" blade.The chrome plated blade and guard each have some chrome loss and wear. A piece of the black plastic grip is broken off where the grip meets the pommel cap. The scabbard retains 90+% of its original black paint and has four dents in the lower section. In-house shipping is available.
