Pre WW1 - World War One officer's sword with Carl Eickhorn double Squirrel C. E. stampings. There are no other stampings on the sword. Brass guard with sharkskin grips with three wire braided wrap. Etched blade includes a coat of arms featuring a lion holding a raised sword. The lion does not wear a crown but is in a shield that is topped with a crown (SEE PHOTOGRAPH). The remainder of the etchings are military and floral. The blade does have a number of small nicks. Overall sword length is 37" with a 32" blade. Included with this sword is a black [painted scabbard that appears to be mismatched.  In-house shipping is available. Open pickup is Tuesday, Oct. 29 from Noon to 7 pm at our offices in Carroll, OH 43112 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. We charge $5/lot if you want to pick up a different day.
