Duchy of Brunswick : Breast Star for the Grand Cross. Silver, the applied Cross of the Order gold and enamelled. Reverse fitted with pin for wearing. Manufacturer's engraving on the reverse: "August Lemme / Juwelier & Graveur /in / Braunschweig". The separately applied cross of the order, especially the center medallion, in bolbous design and of the finest jeweller's quality. The motto of the order "IMMOTA FIDES" and the crowned cipher "W" in the center are finely chiselled. The ball points of the arm of the cross fixed with pins to the reverse of the star. The rays of the star are hand-chased. August Lemme made the Brunswick order insignia from 1834 and became court jeweller in 1840. As the maker's engraving on this breast star lacks the corresponding addition, it can be clearly dated to the period 1834 - 1840. Extremely rare breast star in immaculate condition. Braunschweig : Bruststern zum Großkreuz. Silber, das aufgelegte Ordenskreuz Gold und Emaille. An Nadel. Auf der Rückseite Herstellergravur: "August Lemme / Juwelier & Graveur /in / Braunschweig". Die Auflagen, besonders das Medaillon in hochgewölbter Ausführung und von feinster Juweliersqualität. Die Ordensdevise "IMMOTA FIDES" und die kekrönte Chiffre "W" im Medaillon fein ziseliert. Die Kreuzarmauflagen in den Kugelspitzen am Sternkörper verstiftet. Der Sternkorpus in feinster, handgetriebener Ausführung. August Lemme fertigte ab dem Jahr 1834 die braunschweigischen Ordensinsignien an und wurde im Jahr 1840 Hofjuwelier. Da bei der Herstellergravur dieses Bruststerns der entsprechende Zusatz fehlt, ist er eindeutig in den Zeitraum 1834 - 1840 zu datieren. Extrem seltener Bruststern in makellosem Bestzustand.
