Later Governor of South Dakota, President of the NRA, Commissioner of the American Football League, and a TV broadcaster. A very fine limited edition print by famed American artist WILLIAM S. PHILLIPS, no. 19/500, titled 'When you see zeros, Fight em', 24 x 18 in. (sight), depicting a scene of a dogfight with the caption 'Captain Joseph J. Foss rescues a fellow wildcat pilot by shooting down his eight Japanese Zero over Guadalcanal on October 23, 1943.' Signed by Foss and the artist at the bottom. Matted and framed.
