S/N 33515, Civil War period, .44 caliber, 8" barrel. Outstanding grips are inlayed with card suit and Pennsylvania Dutch hex figures; custom butt cap has integral "trap door" for percussion caps. CONDITION: Bore has strong rifling, metal is mottled plum/gray, frame and cylinder mismatched, cylinder does not engage properly. PROVENANCE: Forth Worth Museum of Science and History.
