TARANTULA Three Sheet (41" x 80"); Style A ; The Collection of the Late J. Stephen Ryan Very Fine- Folded; Artwork by Reynold Brown Universal-International, 1955 Featuring spectacular artwork by Reynold Brown of a gigantic tarantula wreaking havoc on a city, this "Style A" poster was printed on two panels and is folded. It is in excellent condition and displays general fold wear, random crimping, cross-fold separation, and separation along the top panel of the vertical fold and at the bottom of that fold, and light wear on the bottom of the upper panel (which would be covered by the lower panel once it was attached). The colors are fresh and vibrant, and the large format enhances the impact of the classic 1950s sci-fi/horror artwork. "Tarantula" is a science-fiction monster film directed by Jack Arnold and produced by William Alland, starring John Agar, Mara Corday, and Leo G. Carroll. It centers on a scientist whose failed experiment creates a giant, deadly tarantula. Released by Universal-International, the film was later reissued in 1962.
