Purvis Young (1943 - 2010) American. 12ft x 8ft Art Installation. Acrylic house paint on 1/4" finished plywood. Urban folk art painting with a splash of cultural issues and political imagery. Cityscape buildings with figures, horses, cars, and angels. Main colors are white, yellow, red, green and black. Each panel measures 48" x 96" for a approximate combined total size 144" x 96" . Panels were originally part of Globe Miami 2001 Exhibit, prolific visual art. Donated by the Bass Museum. Exhibit consisted of many panels covering an entire room. Panels will have screw holes from previous instillation and also cut outs to accommodate light switches. Good to Average condition, having areas with typical staining and light storage wear to edges.
