His time spent in Paris allowed for the development of a direct and personal approach to photographing his clients, importantly he learned to hone in on the particulars of detail. As both a studio and news photographer, Halsman took inspiration from the contemporary art and entertainment scenes. He specialized in portraiture.<br/>His photographs of Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein and of countless others have become world icons.
