MASSIVE CHINESE CARVED MAMMOTH IVORY TUSK: Profusely carved with relief outdoor genre scenes of scholars and celebrations with figures and buildings. Scrimshaw decorated verso with dragons, tigers, maidens and children playing, signed near root. Total length is 110'' long from tip to root. Sold with the reticulated carved wood base with floral motifs, 26 1/4'' h. x 41 1/4'' x 14''. Extinct species not covered under CITES, however due to state regulations this piece cannot be shipped to or sold in California, New York or New Jersey.
