With rich decoration of pheonix and flowers. Baluster-shaped body. - Occas. min. tenuous tears within the glace. - Provenance: Private collection, Vienna. - With added copy of expert assessment by Dr. Christian Förster, Vienna, March 1983. This vase comes from the possession of an Ottoman ambassador who sold his apartment in Vienna in the 19th century. He sold his apartment together with inventory, where this vase was also present. The apartment was bought by the grandfather from the present owner of the vase. In the apartment of the former Ottoman ambassador from Vienna, today is the museum of Adolf Loos. The vase has no cracks or breaks and is in good condition. Only minimal glaze and burn damage. The vase was estimated by the expert in 1983 at 750,000 Schillings. That amounts to 54,500 euros.
