For the Greatest Generation they got started a bit earlier on Father's Day - especially when you've been to sea. Another iconic image from the photoshoot that brought perhaps Heick's greatest image "Hats, Seattle, 1951".William Heick (1916-2012) was a San Francisco-based photographer and film-maker as well as a member of the faculty at UC Berkeley's Anthropology department.
