A book from the collection of William Webster. William Webster was a judge on the US Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, before serving as both director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (1978 - 1987) and the Central Intelligence Agency (1987 - 1991). He is the only individual to have held both positions. George Gordon Meade. With Meade at Gettysburg. Harrison / with the compliments of her loving Cousin / Geo. G. Meade / Dec. 1932." With engraved frontispiece and twenty-four folding maps.
