Large Cinnabar Double-gourd Vase, Qing Dynasty. Finely carved in relief depicting a naturalistically rendered blooming garden scene of double gourds and finely detailed leaves borne on meandering vines with curled tendrils against a meticulously carved diaper ground. The narrow waist encircled by a ribbon. Supported on a circular foot-ring with a neatly collared key fret design. Kangxi six character mark in gold on the recessed black lacquer base.
