(1764 - 1844) King of Sweden and Norway who allied with Czar Alexander to battle Napoleon and aided in the victory at Leipzig. Scarce manuscript L.S. 'J. Bernadotte', 1p. legal folio, 'Armee d'Hanovre 6 floreal an 13 [1804]' in French to Mr. Michaux, Paymaster of the Army. Bernadotte asks that an order be issued paying 150 francs to one 'A. Lecroix', a Captain of Military Transportation, as an 'extraordinary reward'. Very fine condition.
