Lettre autographe signée, 2 pages in-4 ; Le Tholonet, 3 septembre 1963. Bien qu'au calme dans la campagne aixoise, l'artiste semble surmené et n'a pu informer plus tôt son correspondant de l'envoi d'une lithographie originale à Fernand Mourlot (1895-1988, imprimeur et lithographe français). "J'espère qu'elle sera bien (en tout cas j'en étais content). Attendons le tirage". Pour la "petite préface", il a contacté son ami Michel Leiris (1901-1990, critique d'art français). Masson sera de retour à Paris au plus tard le 15 du mois, car "L'Opéra m'attend ! (Et le public donc ! Ô peut-être pour m'engueuler !)". Intéressante lettre artistique à propos probablement de l'affiche de son exposition à la Galerie Gérald Cramer de Genève qui devait se tenir du 28 octobre au 6 décembre 1963. Quant à la raison qui justifie son retour à Paris, il s'agit sans doute des décors de l'Opéra Garnier pour l'opéra Wozzeck du compositeur autrichien Alban Berg. En bon état. The artist is very busy, even in the country side of South of France and could not inform his correspondent in due time that the original lithography was sent to Fernand Mourlot (1895-1988, French printer and lithograph). He was happy of the result anyway, but waits for the printing. Masson will be back in Paris latest on September 15th as Opera Garnier and its public are waiting for him. Interesting artistic letter most probably about the poster of his exhibition in Geneva at the Galerie Cramer in Autumn 1963 and the stage set of the opera Wozzeck of the Austrian composer Alban Berg. In good condition.
