Lettre signée "Alexandre" par le Mal Alexandre Berthier (1753-1815), 1/2 page, in-4 ; Dresde, 3 septembre 1813. Au lendemain de la victorieuse bataille de Dresde, Napoléon, malade, se retire au petit château de Hartau, près de Bischofswerda et s'apprête à affronter l'armée de Blücher à Bautzen (4 septembre). Par cette missive, Berthier ordonne au général Bailly de Monthion (1776-1850) que d'après de nouvelles dispositions, le petit quartier général doit "se rendre ce soir à Bischofswerda au lieu de se porter sur Königsbruck", se rapprochant ainsi du château de Hartau. After the victory in Dresde, Napoleon, ill, withdrew in small castle of Hartau, near Bischofswerda and got ready to confront the army of blücher in Bautzen (4 September). Berthier writes to Bailly de Monthion (1776-1850) ordering to move to Bischofswerda instead of Königsbruck, approaching Hartau Castle. In good condition.
