Born Archibald Alexander Leach, Cary Grant's (1904-1986) persona was carefully sculpted to create one of the greatest and most captivating Hollywood stars of all time. Sophisticated and handsome, he starred across from leading ladies Katherine Hepburn, Grace Kelly, and Mae West, to name but a few. Cary Grant acted in over 70 movies during his long career, working with Hitchcock on four different films Suspicion, Notorious, To Catch a Thief and North by Northwest. Of his acting, Grant famously stated: I pretended to be somebody I wanted to be until finally I became that person. Or he became me." This charming race card is signed "To Dorothy, Cordially, Cary Grant". Measuring 6½ x 5", the card is in good condition, retaining its original red and green colours. Light creasing, not affecting the handwritten inscription. Some light tan marks on autograph page, but signature remains clear and legible
