PETER MAX American pop artist remembered for his psychedelic posters promoting rock bands and events of the 1960's. Original sketch on a cloth napkin signed four times, 19" x 19", a study for a fundraising promotion for George H. Bush's 1988 presidential campaign using Bush's famous catch phrase "a thousand points of light". Max writes out Bush's quote, then sketches four promotional pieces he would make using that theme, including lithographs, posters, and original paintings. At bottom he suggests that the pieces include: "President & artist's signatures". Matted and framed. Max ultimately produced the now-famous "Flag with Heart" for the campaign.
