RARE AUTOGRAPH LETTER W/ ETCHED PORTRAIT - Two Page Autograph ALS from Artist Charles Meryon (1821-1868), dated 12 July, 1857; along with the well-known portrait etching of the artist confined to bed, done by Leopold Flameng (1831-1911) in 1858, the letter is a list of available works Meryon is hoping to place with a gallery, is addressed to 'Monsieur Neil', 8" x 5" sheets of pale blue paper, boldly signed at bottom of first sheet; the etching is 8" x 9 3/4", on laid paper, signed and dated in plate, in gold molded frame with three window mat, glazed, OS: 14 1/2" x 25 1/2", the letter has folds, some fading, the print is lightly rippled.
