The first half of the hour was an episode of Iron Man; the second half an episode of Fantastic Four. During the first season, Stan Lee was featured speaking before each show about characters in the following episode and what had inspired him to create them. This original production cel is from the Fantastic Four (1994 TV series), featuring Mister Fantastic, Thing, Human Torch, and Invisible Woman, signed by Stan Lee. Stan Lee (American, b. 1922 ) Stanley Martin Lieber, who adopted the legal name of Stan Lee, began his career as an assistant at the Timely Comics division of Pulp Magazine. Timely would later became Marvel Comics. Lee’s first superhero co-creation was the Destroyer in “Mystic Comics #6”. He gave his superheroes flawed humanity and complexity, a change from the perfect people they once portrayed. Lee is credited as a co-creator of several beloved superhero characters including Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Thor and the X-Men. As the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics, he expanded the company into a multimedia corporation.
