Antique Prescott's NO. 2 IXL Boston Mass Wooden Wagon/Carriage Jack. This jack is easily distinguishable and dated as it is embossed by maker with patent date, type, place of production, and its brand name. These jacks were essentials tools in the days of wagons and carriages which allowed for incremental lifting by creating notches, reinforced with metal for more stability so they could repair and maintain the wagons more easily. Base measures approximately 21.75 inches long X 5.5 inches wide X 29.5 inches tall overall. Some general wear however this piece appears to be in impeccable condition for its age and will surely display well in your home, shop or office as a very unique decor/collectible!
