작품 상세

Abdul Latiff Mohidin is one of Southeast Asia’s most celebrated modernist artists, especially known for his Pago Pago series and his exploration of landscapes, nature, and abstraction. His work often reflects a deep engagement with Southeast Asian forms, spiritual traditions, and natural environments, merged with modernist techniques. “Green Landscape II” (2019) would be from his later period, where he continued to revisit and reinterpret natural forms with bold colours, organic shapes, and strong textural qualities. Based on the title, you can expect lush greens, dynamic compositions, and perhaps abstracted elements of tropical landscapes — almost a mental or spiritual vision of nature rather than a literal depiction. This Green Landscape II artwork was part of the exhibition displayed at The Edge Galerie from November 28 to December 12, 2021 and was published in ‘The Options’ pullout of The Edge publication.
